Accountant

As a Property Accountant at HBG, you'll play a crucial role in the financial reporting to our Clients ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. Location: 7800 Metro Parkway, Bloomington, MN (4:1 Hybrid work schedule after 90 days)

Rate of Pay: $53,000 DOQ

Key Responsibilities:

• Meets accounting financial objectives by preparing monthly financial reports; analyzing variances; and assisting with the month-end and year-end closing processes, annual budgets, and audits.
• Record journal entries, perform bank reconciliations, prepare account reconciliations, and review general ledger detail to ensure accuracy
• Assists with receipting of rental payments
• Reviews accounting and system reports for completeness and accuracy
• Regularly supports Site Personnel on ledger questions and adjustments
• Accomplishes accounting and organization goals by completing related results and meeting deadlines
• Promotes collaboration and positive, professional work environment
• Works directly with controller on ad hoc projects as assigned

Qualifications:

• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Yardi Voyager and Affordable Property Accounting experience preferred
• 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Proficiency in Excel
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
