What are the responsibilities and job description for the School Photographer position at Halverson Photography?
We are accepting applications for a School Photographer. We are looking for an enthusiastic photographer to work with school aged children. Early mornings and afternoons means late afternoons and evenings are free for personal time. No photography experience is necessary, will train.
This position is seasonal, Fall (2nd Week of August through November) and Spring (February through May). There will be a bonus at the end of the fall season based on job performance. School Picture days include working mornings until between 11am-2pm (depending on afternoon preschool) with paperwork or other office tasks.
Job responsibilities:
Working in a team environment with co-workers. Frequently setting up/lifting equipment up to 30 pounds. Traveling to school locations to photograph school portraits for children K-12, and doing paperwork.
Requirements for this Photographer position:
- Able to work in a fast paced environment and enjoy working with children in a school photo day environment.
- Dependable, on time or early to photo day assignments.
- Must live within 30 minutes of Iowa City or Marion.
- Traveling to photo day locations mileage is paid for out of town driving.
- Must have an insured, reliable transportation; a valid driver's license to arrive at photo day locations.
- Mobile phone friendly: Must have a phone with the ability to download an app for viewing work schedules, and being responsible for clock-in/out of shifts.
