Join our team here at Hamaspik of Rockland County, where our DSPs focus on providing respite for primary caregivers and imparting crucial life skills. Your main role is creating a positive impact, teaching life skills, and gaining valuable experience.
Client needs supervision, emotional support, and engaging recreational activities.
This part-time role is located in New City
Schedule: Saturdays 9am-5pm
Pay: Starting at $15/hr
Skills:
- Mentor and assist clients in their daily living activities
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for all clients and staff
- Build positive relationships with clients and staff
- Strong interpersonal skills with a passion for assisting those in need
- Possesses a friendly disposition with a positive "can do" attitude
- Ability to work independently and consistently exercise good judgment
Qualifications:
- Caregiving experience required
- Experience working with individuals with neurodivergent and/or intellectual disabilities preferred
- High school diploma/GED or it's equivalent
Required: Successful background check and fingerprinting
All Hamaspik of Rockland County DSPs are eligible for our employee referral program. If we end up hiring your referred candidate, you will receive $250 referral bonus after a hire period of 90 days.
