What are the responsibilities and job description for the Master Scheduler position at Hamilton Security?
Position Summary:
Creation and implementation of schedules for your organization's production or manufacturing needs, to ensure efficient operations.The Master Scheduler will utilize the ERP Planning System to provide the business with the most responsive and customer driven manufacturing schedule possible. The Master Scheduler must meet customer needs while maintaining minimal inventories via the optimization of our inventory systems. The Master Scheduler must be knowledgeable and interactive with all plant operations as well as the key business functions.
- Continually improve the plant scheduling operation locally and throughout the supply network through best practices, etc.
- Troubleshoot and resolve ERP System issues as required.
- Champion Lean Initiatives.
- Coordinate and Maintain Inventory management including cycle counting.
- The Master Scheduler must regularly communicate with all parts of the operations group, as well as customer service to ensure timely execution of the production schedule, as well as key functional groups outside the operations department to clear obstacles that prevent completion of the production schedule.
- The Master Scheduler must create an achievable production schedule based on specified rates and standards that meets the needs of customer demand.
- Must drive the execution of the schedule on a daily basis by working with the Operations team, as well as support personnel.
- The decisions that the Master Scheduler makes directly affect multiple departments, as well as the overall performance of the organization through effective planning of production to ensure order shipments are achieved per SLA's.
- The Master Scheduler should always proceed toward continuous improvement of planning/operations, modify their planning methods to meet the current needs of the business based on direction from the manager, must adapt or enhance the value in existing methods to maximize schedule achievement and ensure product availability.
- Additional projects and duties as necessary.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s in business Admin, Operations Mgt., Engineering or related.
- Preferred candidates will have 3-5 years of operations experience and/or 1-2 years production planning.
- Advanced PC excel and ERP software.
Job Type: Full-time
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
