Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Room Attendant/Laundry Attendant to join our team. As a Room Attendant, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and tidiness in guest rooms and common areas. Your attention to detail and commitment to providing exceptional service will contribute to creating a comfortable and welcoming environment for our guests. As a Laundry Attendants perform multiple tasks ranging from washing and folding laundry items to operating commercial laundry and steam cleaning equipment.
Duties:
- Clean and sanitize guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and mopping floors
- Replenish amenities such as towels, toiletries, and linens
- Empty trash containers and replace liners
- Report any maintenance issues or damages to the appropriate department
- Respond to guest requests in a timely and professional manner
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness in all areas of the hotel, including hallways, elevators, and public restrooms
- Follow established procedures for handling lost and found items
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines
-Sorting linens, towels
-Cleaning and maintaining laundry room area and equipment
-Loading/Unloading laundry from commercial washers and dryers
-Stocking laundry supplies such as detergent, bleach, laundry bags and fabric softener
- Stocking linen closets with clean linen
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in hospitality or hotel housekeeping/laundry is preferred
- Knowledge of industrial cleaning techniques is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Excellent time management skills to ensure efficient completion of tasks
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects as needed
- Knowledge of floor care and custodial procedures is an asset
