Overview:
As our Breakfast Attendant, you will help us provide guests with a perfect jump-start to their day with a complimentary breakfast. You will be responsible for preparing and replenishing the breakfast items during breakfast and interacting with our guests. You will be focused on optimizing each guest's experience by living out our company purpose of "hospitality from our family to yours".
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and set the buffet line on time before guests arrive for breakfast.
- Display food and beverages in an organized and attractive manner
- Welcome and acknowledge all guests in the lobby/breakfast area
- Anticipate and address guests' service needs, thank guests with genuine appreciation, speak with others using clear and professional language.
- Store foods in designated areas, utilizing knowledge of temperature requirements and food spoilage. Maintain sanitary regulations of food temperatures. Rotate all products.
- Must be able to visibly recognize "condition" of food, and cooking temperatures.
- Bus dirty tableware, clean tables and buffet area during breakfast
- General cleaning and maintenance of food and beverage prep areas, utensils, equipment, garbage, and refrigeration in a clean and sanitary condition in accordance with state, county, and company health regulations and work safety regulations.
- Greet each guest that you encounter during your shift with a friendly smile.
- Ensures uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
- Follow hotel procedures for reporting and turning in lost and found articles.
- Coordinate with other departments as necessary to resolve service requests or problems.
- Ensure guest and associate safety by following established security procedures including emergency procedures, key security and protecting guest and company confidential information.
- Follow all company and safety procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; and complete safety training and certifications.
- Frequently check the buffet line to ensure that there is an appropriate amount of food available
- Replenish the buffet with food, beverages and/or supplies as needed
- Remove and dispose of leftover food at the end of breakfast
- Close and clean the buffet area according to established standards
- Ensure inventory is stocked and properly stored
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years' experience working in food service
- Must be able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance and objects in excess of 50 pounds with assistance. Stands, sits, or walks for an extended time period.
- Must be available to work an early morning schedule.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays.
