Dental Assistant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting the dentist and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental office. Your primary responsibilities will include providing chairside assistance to the dentist, preparing patients for treatment and maintaining accurate patient records. Duties:

- Assist the dentist during dental procedures, including preparing instruments and materials

- Take (X-rays)

- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations

- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment

- Provide post-operative instructions to patients

- Perform basic laboratory duties, such as pouring impressions and trimming models

- Assist with front office tasks as needed, such as scheduling appointments and verifying insurance coverage

- Maintain accurate patient records using dental software systems (Dentrix)

- Follow proper infection control protocols and maintain aseptic technique

Experience:

- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not required

- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and systems

- Proficiency in taking dental radiographs (X-rays)

- Familiarity with medical documentation and record keeping

Skills:

- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

- Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with patients of all ages

- Ability to work well in a team environment

- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

- Proficiency in using dental software systems (Dentrix)

- Knowledge of aseptic technique and infection control protocols

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 16 per week
