HANAC, Inc is pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for an LCSW Social Worker seeking to provide clinical and administrative supervision to a unit of 4 MSW Social Workers who provide direct service to families and children. Join our program expansion and be part of a multi-cultural team providing clinical interventions including family counseling, individual counseling of adolescents, and play therapy for younger children with a diverse immigrant population.
Essential Functions and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Plans, organizes and directs a unit of social workers engaged in assessing clients' needs for social services, counseling clients, and assisting clients in obtaining social services in accordance with laws, regulations, and department policies; supervises and evaluates staff performance; and interviews applicants and makes recommendations for hire.
- Reviews cases to ensure timeliness, accuracy, thoroughness, and compliance with regulations and policies; and confers with staff regarding issues or problems.
- Prepares and/or participates in the development of program services, policies, and procedures; interprets new legislation to determine the impact on operations; and prepares narrative and statistical reports to communicate information such as service trends.
- Assists in establishing and maintaining department community resources network; represents the department in the community, and speaks before groups on matters related to the assignment.
- Develops special reference and training materials to meet staff training needs; train staff in areas such as human behavior, group dynamics, crisis intervention, family dynamics, problems of aging, and alcohol and drug abuse.
Qualifications:
- Must possess an LCSW with 6 years of post-master's experience working with children and families and 2 years’ experience supervising staff including students.
- strong ability to coach staff and provide clinical support to assist staff to develop and strengthen their skills.
- knowledge of family systems
- Computer literate.
- bilingual (Spanish) is a MUST
- Excellent organizational skills including time management.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Comprehensive knowledge of issues related to families and children.
- covid vaccination required must have at least 1 dose at the time of hire
Salary: $65,000 to $72,000 per year (commensurate with experience)
