Summary Job Description
This position is responsible for developing upholstery samples and making patterns for the production and manufacturing of upholstery items.
Essential Duties
Will be working with product managers and engineers to develop upholstery items
Will be making patterns for production, both hard patterns and CAD patterns
Must have a full range of knowledge of the upholstery manufacturing process
Create manufacturing specifications for cut, sew, upholstery and frame building
Ability to communicate with outside vendors
Works with minimal supervision and able to meet deadlines
Overtime may be required at times
Must follow all safety policies and procedures
All other duties as assigned
Position Requirements
Basic CAD experience required
Basic computer experience required
Minimum 5 years in upholstery manufacturing with an understanding of pattern making and product development

Prolonged periods of standing and performing repetitive tasks
Must be able to work in noisy environments
Frequent grasping, pushing/pulling and fine manipulation
Frequently lifting/carrying objects up to 50 lbs.; rarely lifting/carrying objects 51-75 lbs.
