What are the responsibilities and job description for the Administrative Assistant position at Hand Precision Machining, Inc.?

HPM is looking to hire a Administrative Assistant for our busy machine shop. This position is 30-40 hours week. Pay based on experience.

We are looking for a multi-tasker with excellent communication skills. Applicants should be able to assist customers by providing polite and professional assistance via phone, mail, e-mail, and in person as often the first point of contact with HPM. Our Admin. Assistant will be responsible for confidential and time sensitive material and all duties are completed accurately and delivered with high quality and in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

  • Answer and direct phone calls
  • Develop and maintain a filing system
  • Update and maintain office policies and procedures
  • Provide general support to customers by providing polite and professional assistance via phone, mail, e-mail
  • Assist with bookkeeping
  • Send estimates and invoices
  • Create job folders

Skills

  • Proven experience as an administrative assistant or office admin assistant
  • Working knowledge of office equipment
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
  • Attention to detail and problem solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
  • High School degree; additional qualification as an Administrative assistant or Secretary will be a plus
  • Quick books experience preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
