Job Title: Estimator
Location: New Orleans, LA (Lakefront Airport area, New Orleans)
Job Type: Full-time, Direct Hire
Pay Range: $35k to $70k DOE

Job Description:
Estimator Job Summary: The Estimator will be responsible for calculating the client and company costs using blueprints, technical drawings, and complex mathematical equations. They will communicate with the company’s internal and client staff to assess the material and expenses involved in a project.
- Location: Onsite
- Travel: Minimal
- Schedule: Monday through Friday. Some overtime may be required to complete the job, but it isn’t often needed.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
- Consult with clients, vendors, and personnel in other departments to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
- Evaluate bid specifications and drawings to ensure all information is obtained to successfully bid and win the project.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
- Monitor the progress of projects and provide regular updates to project managers and clients.
- Review and analyze historical data to prepare estimates and proposals.
- Stay current on industry trends and technology to ensure accurate and competitive pricing.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and bid presentations as required.
Must Haves:
- Excellent work ethic with the ability to prioritize and work unsupervised or in a team environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to perform complex mathematical equations.
- Must be available to work in the office on-site every day.
- Must have analytical skills.
- A manufacturing background is preferred.
Education:
- Associate degree or higher.
