What are the responsibilities and job description for the Second Shift Shipping Supervisor position at Hanes Companies?
Hanes Geo Components (HGC) in Winston Salem, NC, a division of Leggett & Platt Inc. (NYSE: LEG), is seeking a second shift supervisor. HGC is the leading distributor of geosynthetics, erosion control, and soil stabilization products used in the construction industry.
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Manage shipping employees in an open warehouse environment
- Establish a shipping and receiving schedule on a daily basis
- Complete-time and attendance for employees for payroll purposes
- Establish inbound/outbound logistics on a daily basis
- Monitor and report inventory for the shift
- Interview and be a part of the hiring process guided by human resources
- Managing 5-7 employees, with ability fill in for manufacturing when needed
- Additional duties may be required
Qualifications:
- Proven successful warehouse management experience
- Adequate computer skills for ticket printing, inventory tracking, shipping reporting, and employee time reporting
- Adequate math skills for production calculations
- Excellent communication skills
