GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: To facilitate the work of students in the program problem solving activity. To help students learn subject matter and workplace readiness skills that will contribute to students developing as mature, able and responsible adults. Provide supervision to students throughout the program and support the efforts of the program director and problem activity coordinator. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: (These are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work performed. The omission of specific duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment to the position.)Team Facilitators will facilitate the business-building activity as indicated in the program guide for a team of 10 students.Participate in specialty group team meetings.Assist in Shark Tank session and Closing Plan Presentation session. Responsible (on a predetermined basis) to provide supervision of students on selected field trips and during other programs.Participate in pre-program training.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Comprehensive knowledge of: current practices, techniques, and methods of teaching; the principles of educational testing and principles and methods of remedial education; effective means of supervision and instruction as applied to the work of Instructional Assistants; the needs and requirements of working with students with disabilities; the principles and methods of educational research. Ability to: apply modern methods and principles of education to pupils functioning at the elementary and/or secondary school level; maintain an interest in the positive improvement and development of children, adolescents, or adults of normal and/or impaired learning ability; maintain proper discipline; establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and students. Possess excellent written and oral communication skills. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Required: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution. Teacher License with a secondary endorsement(s). Preferred: Master’s Degree from accredited institution. Teacher License with a secondary endorsement(s) in CTE, or Gifted Education.

SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
PHYSICAL CONDITIONS: Must have the use of sensory skills to effectively communicate and interact with other employees, students and the public through the use of the telephone and personal contact. Physical capability to use and operate effectively various items of office related equipment, such as, but not limited to, a personal computer, calculator, copier, and fax machine. Work is typically performed in a school setting including; classroom, gym, cafeteria, auditorium and recreational areas. Frequent walking, standing, occasional lifting up to 25 pounds may be required. Occasional travel with students on field trips may be required. Occasional movement of students by wheelchairs and other mechanical devices may be required. Regular instruction to special needs children may be necessary. Daily personal and close contact with students to provide classroom management and learning environment support is required.
