Position Description

The Procurement Manager for Aluminum is accountable to develop and implement strategic sourcing of aluminum packaging materials for the North American market. This individual should have prior experience in the aluminum/can market, capability to develop and execute both short- and long-term sourcing strategies, skilled in collaboration and negotiation, mindset of a change agent, and strong executive presence.

Essential Functions

• Establish a comprehensive understanding of all category influencers and become the business-wide category subject matter expert from both a technical and commercial perspective
• Develop and efficiently implement category roadmap(s) providing the most value to Refresco through continuous improvement, value propositions, innovations, and sustainability initiatives
• Anticipate, negotiate, and execute commercial opportunities on time within the assigned categories under the supervision of the Procurement Director
• Provide the business with accurate price forecasting, inclusive of market condition monitoring, price trends and future forecasting
• Conduct market and risk analysis to drive category strategies, with ability to react quickly and creatively when faced with unexpected market conditions
• Develop, implement, and manage vendor performance metrics, documents, and reporting as part of a Supplier Relationship Management plan within specified category.
• Obtain data from varied sources to identify and support fact-driven opportunities. Ensure analysis is accurate, comprehensive, and robust.
• Collaborate with materials management teams to ensure supply security and cost optimization
• Attend off-site supplier tours/visits as needed.

• Software Skill: Microsoft Excel proficiency is mandatory, as well as adeptness in PowerPoint and Word. Required eagerness to learn other software applications on an as-needed basis. SAP knowledge a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications:
• 6 Years – Experience in Engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain or other related field
• 2 Years – Experience in Position
• Preferred Qualifications:
• 10 Years– Experience in Procurement or other related field
• 4 Years – Experience working in cans/aluminum packaging procurement

Education

• Minimum Required:
• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance or other related field required
• Preferred:
• Master's Degree
• Project Management experience
• Manufacturing experience

Working Conditions

• Fluent in English
• Based in Tampa FL - N. American HQ office in-person with up to 20% travel at times (as needed).
• Hybrid Work Flex - This role is eligible for Hybrid work flex option.
