Job Title: Warehouse Supervisor
Department: Warehouse
Reports to: Material Planner (Warehouse Manager)
Basic Function:
Supervises the day-to-day activities and work performance of the warehouse staff in Raw Materials, Receiving and Shipping areas. Assesses staffing needs and makes recommendations to management about staffing levels. Trains warehouse employees and ensures policies and procedures are followed. Monitors flow of materials through the warehouse process and makes recommendations for process improvements. Manages companies forklift driving training program. Communicates issues with parts request and inventory errors to production Supervisor and Material Planners. Reviews customer requirements regarding packaging and shipping and develops procedures to ensure requirements are met.

Departmental Responsibilities:
- Aides in conducting physical inventory of warehouse to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Ensure procedures are followed regarding inventory tracking and labeling.
- Ensure all safety policies are followed.
- Conducts cycle counts in accordance with company’s goals.
- Ensures material is received, inspected, and put away in a timely manner.
- Ensures manufacturing pull request are filled accurately and in a timely manner.
- Ensures customer orders are filled accurately and on time.
- Works with Customer Service to expedite customer orders and provide updates on the status of orders to be shipped.
- Works with Human Resources to interview and hire staffing.
- Works with Material Planning to prioritize workload and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Helps develop Hansen work instructions and ensures department employees are trained on appropriate work instructions.
- Ensures that the warehouse and loading dock are maintained in a organized and sage manner.
Global Responsibilities: Ensure company goals for defects and on time delivery are met.
Secondary Responsibilities:
- to management any issues that impact the performance of the department and fills in whenever necessary when workload or manpower levels require additional manpower. Assists in the training of new employees in the department. Monitors condition of racks, forklifts, scales, and other items in warehouse. Works with maintenance staff to ensure all equipment is safe and working properly. Ensures staff adheres to all Hansen safety policies and procedures. Aides the Quality Department in resolving quality issues as needed.
Authorities: Approves PTO request by warehouse personnel in accordance with company policies. Approves employee time sheets on a weekly basis. Takes disciplinary action with employees as needed with the assistance of Human Resources.

Qualifications:
High School Diploma, Basic computer skills, basic math skills knowledge and experience with computer-based inventory control systems, good communication skills. 3-5 years’ experience in shipping and warehouse operations, required. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. as part of the job function. Someone with experience in shipping automotive manufacturers would be preferred; however, at minimum must meet other qualifications requirements.

Salary : $45,900 - $58,100
