Dental Assistant

Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dental clinic team. As a vital member of our dental care team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and support. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in dental assisting and demonstrate a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient care and professionalism.

Duties:

- Assist the dentist during all dental procedures, including exams, fillings, extractions, and surgeries.
- Prepare the dental operatory for each patient, including sterilizing instruments and setting up equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized dental clinic environment, adhering to aseptic technique and infection control protocols.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and provide support during procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Assist with patient communication, including providing oral health education and answering questions.
- Perform radiographic procedures, including taking X-rays, and maintain accurate records.
- Assist with medical imaging and medical coding as necessary.
- Participate in patient registration, billing, and insurance verification processes.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor, contributing to a supportive and respectful team environment.

Skills:

- Strong background in dental assisting
- Proficiency in aseptic technique and infection control protocols.
- Knowledge of medical imaging and medical coding principles.
- Experience with dental radiography and X-ray procedures.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and their application in a dental setting.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with patients of all ages.
- Basic knowledge of Dental terminology.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
