What are the responsibilities and job description for the Preschool Soccer Coach position at HappyFeet Philly?
Job Summary:
We are seeking a candidate who is passionate about working with children, especially preschool aged children. As a Soccer Coach, you will be responsible for implementing the program curriculum, as well as being a positive role model in the children's lives. Your role will be instrumental in helping our players improve their skills, develop self confidence, and most importantly have fun while creating a positive mental connection to playing soccer.
Duties:
- Develop and implement age-appropriate activities that align with our curriculum.
- Plan and conduct practice sessions focusing on imaginative fun, soccer skills, and developing gross motor.
- Provide individualized coaching to players who are struggling with our curriculum
- Organize and lead team practices, drills, and scrimmages
- Evaluate player performance during games and provide constructive feedback
- Collaborate with other coaches and staff to develop the best use of your time
- Communicate effectively with the schools we work with
- Ensure the safety of all players during practices and games by following proper safety protocols
Skills:
- Early Education studies are a plus
- The ability to motivate and inspire players
- Excellent communication skills to effectively convey instructions and provide feedback
- Ability to work well with individuals of all ages and skill levels
- Strong organizational skills to plan classes
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards player development
