What are the responsibilities and job description for the Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor position at HappySwimmers.com?
We are looking for Red Cross Certified Lifeguard Instructors (LGI) and Lifeguard Instructor Trainers (LGIT) to teach our lifeguard academies this year in the Bay Area, Sonoma, Santa Cruz, and San Mateo. This is a completely flexible position, working only in the places that work for you. Before booking the class, we will ask what works and have the client adjust the schedule when possible!
Classes You May Teach with Us
- Lifeguarding
- Shallow Water Lifeguard
- Water Attraction Module
- CPR / First Aid / AED Classes
- Other variations of these
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must have successfully taught at least 3 lifeguard and/or CPR classes
- Must have reliable transportation and car insurance
Compensation
- $35-$50 depending on your experience and equipment
- Generous travel stipends when you take classes out of your region
- Pay for or arrangement overnight stays when necessary
- Potential to travel to various states for courses
