What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supportive Housing Manager position at Harbor Brand?
Harbor is looking for a Supportive Housing Manager to supervise residential staff. The individual will plan, coordinate, implement and evaluate all residential services care in residential home. Assist in directing the effective operations of the residential homes for clients with SPMI. Participates in budget preparations and monitors budget items for the program. Writes and/or assist in writing grants and reports.
Position is full-time, 40 hours per week.
Education/Experience/Other Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s Degree preferred. May substitute 5 or more years’ experience working in a residential or mental health care field.
- Experience working with severely persistently mentally ill clients preferred.
- At least a minimum of two years of administrative experience and supervisory experience.
- Candidate must demonstrate leadership and organizational skills.
- CPR/First Aid and NCI/CPI Certifications required within 90 days of employment.
- Must have valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and be deemed insurable through Harbor’s vehicle insurance carrier.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Directs the department including ensuring compliance with facility licensure codes, rules, regulations, procedures, and maintenance in all houses.
- Provide supervision for residential staff. Ensure adequate shift coverage/staffing is maintained.
- Maintain accurate, complete, and appropriate residential records in a timely manner.
- Responsible for the hiring, orienting, training and evaluation of the house managers and program providers.
- Plan, coordinate, implement and evaluate residential services to assure continuity of organizational goals.
- Monitors residential services budget to ensure funds/expenses are within budgetary scope.
- Must be available for emergencies as needed. On-call by cell phone 24/7, as requested by the manager for emergencies and staff consultation.
- Participates in training and development programs to enhance knowledge, skills and personal service network.
- Attend case manager meetings/staffing. Contribute to the care planning process by providing the clinical team with specific information and observations of the residents’ needs and preferences. Attend Supervision meetings weekly and monthly manager meetings, and other meetings determined as appropriate.
