Employees that work in in the driver position gain a chance to interact with multiple departments in our company. Whether the assignment is to deliver vehicle(s) to a customer or assist the shop in moving product through the assembly line, the transportation-driver position is a great asset and fulfilling to work for at Harbor Truck & Vans. Vehicle Porter Responsibilities:
Moving cars between the company storage facilities/parking lots and locations.
Driving and handling all vehicles responsibly to ensure damage prevention and protecting dealership and company property at all times.
Accounting for all trucks in each lot.
Ensuring the cleanliness of the interiors and exteriors of vehicles in the lots.
Provide assistance with keeping the lots clean and tidy at all times.
Perform basic maintenance tasks, such as changing batteries and filling up on gas, oil,
and other fluids as/if needed.
Driver Responsibilities:
Transporting vehicles from storage lots and locations to dealerships/destinations.
Perform vehicle maintenance checks.
Delivering vehicles to customers in a timely manner.
Picking up shop and/or office purchases or supplies as needed.
Utilizing navigation apps to find the most optimal truck route.
Interacting with clients in a professional manner.
Ensuring that vehicles have sufficient gas and are always ready for use.
Updating daily meal Break Log sheet to submit at end of shift.
Driving safely at all times
Lot Attendant Responsibilities:
Attending and participating in training and meetings.
Ensuring vehicles are clean and presentable.
Ensuring lot is organized, clean, and free from trash, litter, and debris.
Arranging and parking vehicles in designated lot areas.
Guaranteeing dealership license plate frames are affixed to vehicles.
Checking in vehicles and ensure paperwork is turned in at end of shift.
Maintaining accuracy of keys.
Replacing delivered vehicles and empty spaces with new inventory and ensuring the changes made are accurate and changes to maps of lots are turned in at the end of shift
Informing supervisor of issues as they arise.
Complying with all company policies and procedures.
