What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bartender position at Harbour Ridge Country Club?
Job Summary: Maintain a professional, clean, and organized lounge and bar area. Obtain knowledge and efficiency in providing bar and food services to members and servers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, but are not limited to:
- Inspect bar prior to opening; ensuring that bar is stocked with product and supplies for service.
- Discreetly monitor alcohol consumption and report unsafe behavior to management.
- Arrange, polish, and replenish glassware.
4. Prepare bar snacks for shift.
5. Slice and prepare fruit garnishes for bar and servers.
6. Arrange lounge furniture and lighting for proper ambiance of lounge.
7. Mix ingredients such as liquor and soda; knowledge needed of proper wine service.
8. Take, prepare, and serve drink and occasionally food orders for servers and members; be available to assist dining room staff if needed.
9. Prepare computerized bill for drinks served.
10. Provide food and beverage service in card rooms.
11. Supply order requisitions for liquor and supplies on a weekly basis.
12. Conduct inventory of all liquor, wine, beer, and supplies on a monthly basis.
13. Clean and maintain all bar equipment and bar surfaces; clean and lock all cabinets and cooler doors according to nightly procedures.
14. Return liquors to bar at the end of the shift.
Job Requirements include the following, but are not limited to:
- Conduct day-to-day operations of the front of house in a business-like and ethical and professional manner.
- Maintain good working relationship with club members, employees and all customers.
- Establish and maintain a clean and professional workspace.
- Dress appropriately according to uniform standards and well groomed.
- Demonstrate record of good work attendance and reliability; regular and punctual in attendance.
- Demonstrate flexibility in work habits and work schedule.
- Use time effectively; complete work in a timely manner.
- Comply with company policies and procedures as established in the Employee Handbook or as demonstrated as common practice.
- Seek to improve self in knowledge and skills.
Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
