Position Summary
The incumbent in this position is responsible for monitoring casino and property operations to protect company assets, while ensuring that state gaming regulations and company internal controls are adhered to.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Maintain thorough knowledge of gaming regulations, company policies, and departmental procedures.
Observe and report gaming violations, policy infractions, illegal or suspicious activity, and ensure that video coverage is retained.
Monitor the transfer of casino funds, per regulation.
Continually improve knowledge of casino table games.
Detect advantage play/cheating and respond appropriately.
Compose daily logs and reports on casino activity, per regulation.
Respond to surveillance review requests in a timely manner.
Maintain a neat and organized workstation.
Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
Perform all other related and compatible duties as assigned.
Qualifications And Skills
Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with all team members.
Ability to gather data, compile information and prepare clear and concise reports.
Ability to remain stationary for extended periods of time while being alert.
Operate surveillance equipment, radios, and multi-line phones.
Perform basic mathematical and computer functions.
Ability to multitask and promptly respond to telephone and radio traffic.
Utilize sound judgment that is in the best interest of Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.
Must have 20/20 corrected vision and adequate dexterity to operate equipment.
Ability to work any shift or hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
Regulatory And Compliance Responsibilities
In addition to the other duties described herein, every team member has the following responsibilities related to compliance with laws and regulations:
Attend required training sessions offered by the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sioux City.
Perform the duties described in compliance with local laws and regulations.
Take the necessary steps to ensure minors are not allowed to gamble or loiter in gambling areas, drink alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco.
Have knowledge of the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the team member’s department.
Have knowledge of the Property’s programs to address problem gambling.
Consults with the appropriate individuals and maintains and effective system of written policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with Iowa Gaming Regulations and Internal Controls.
Takes the appropriate steps to investigate exceptions, fraud, and potential violations and report such instances to the appropriate levels of management.
Reports any acts of wrongdoing on behalf of any staff member that they have knowledge.
