Responsibilities

• Direct traffic to ensure the safety of pedestrians, motorists, and construction workers.
• Set up work zones by placing signs, cones, and barricades.
• Communicate with construction crews and drivers to coordinate traffic flow.
• Follow safety procedures and protocols to minimize risks and accidents.
• Monitor traffic conditions and adjust traffic control measures as needed.
• Provide clear and concise instructions to drivers and pedestrians.
• Report any incidents or issues to the supervisor or appropriate authorities.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a flagger or in a similar role is preferred but not required.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time in various weather conditions.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Basic understanding of traffic laws and regulations.
• Valid driver's license is preferred but not required.
• MUST pass drug screen and background check.

Note: Training will be provided for candidates without previous flagging experience.
