Job Title: Home Inspector
Job Summary:
Locations: Wilmington, Leland, Southport, Bolivia, Shallotte, and surroundings
As a Home Inspector, you will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections of residential properties to assess their condition and compliance with best building practices and safety regulations. Your keen eye for detail and knowledge of construction practices will be essential in identifying potential issues and providing accurate reports to clients.
Duties:
- Perform comprehensive inspections of homes, including structural components, electrical systems, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Utilize construction management skills to assess the quality of workmanship and adherence to blueprints.
- Inspect roofs, foundations, and other critical structural elements for signs of damage or deterioration.
- Conduct data collection during inspections to document findings accurately.
- Ensure quality control by following established inspection procedures and guidelines.
- Provide detailed reports outlining inspection results, including recommendations for repairs or maintenance.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in home inspection or a related field.
- Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Strong analytical skills to assess property conditions effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and explaining inspection findings.
- Licensure as a Home Inspector is required.

Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience in quality inspection within the construction industry.

Position begins as an independent contractor position for 3 months at a 40% commission rate. Upon completion of 3-month probationary period with satisfactory work performance a W-2 position will be offered with a minimum guaranteed salary, 40% commission, full benefits including, but not limited to: vacation pay, sick pay, parental leave, bereavement pay, 401k, medical, dental, vision insurance, gas reimbursement, tool reimbursement, CE reimbursement, and more.
