*Job Summary* (we are a Pedo Office)
We are seeking an experienced Insurance Coordinator to join our team. The Insurance Coordinator will be responsible for verifying insurance coverage, (making sure that we have up to date insurances) checking in patients, making sure that information is correct, confirming appointments. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of dental terminology, office procedures, and dental coding.
*Responsibilities*
- Verify insurance coverage and eligibility for patients
- Submit insurance claims and follow up on outstanding claims
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to obtain necessary documentation for claims
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Communicate with insurance companies to resolve claim denials or discrepancies
- Assist patients with insurance-related inquiries and provide guidance on coverage options
- Stay updated on changes in insurance regulations and coding requirements
*Requirements*
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Insurance Coordinator
- Proficient in dental terminology
- Familiarity with managed care plans and dental office procedures is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
