Be advised the Department of Public Works – Division of W&S is currently recruiting for summer internship positions for two areas – Central Stores Coordinator and Laboratory Assistant.
CENTRAL STORES COORDINATOR:
Under general supervision, assist the Water & Sewer Central Stores section in performing asset control, confirming warehouse bins and locations, and ensuring accurate treasury and inventory counts utilizing CityWorks.

The following examples illustrate the work performed in the positions in the class. Positions may require some or all of these examples depending on the organization of work within the department. - Utilizing Cityworks software system to:
- Locate and track inventory stock
- Warehouse organization
- Ensure accurate treasury and inventory counts
- Implement Water & Sewer Asset Control
- Acts as a liaison for Cityworks improvements
- Other administrative duties as assigned
- Ability to work independently as well as cooperatively on a team project
- Ability to express ideas, information, and analysis in a clear and concise manner
- Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form using clear, concise, and understandable language.
EDUCATION:
To qualify, an applicant must be a college student entering the sophomore or a higher class in the Spring of 2024 and must be majoring in Business Management, Business Administration, or a closely related curriculum.
SAFETY:
Must comply with all Federal (OSHA), State of Maryland (MOSH), safety regulations, and applicable Harford County safety policies, procedures, or manual as required for this position.
Salary : $18 - $21
