**Duties and Responsibilities:**
As a crucial member of our team, your duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Conducting assessments of clients using standardized or evidence-based assessment tools and diagnosing substance disorders following the DSM 5 guidelines.
- Gathering relevant previous records to inform the current treatment episode effectively.
- Collaborating with clients to develop client-centered and recovery-oriented treatment plans with clear goals and measurable objectives.
- Reviewing clients' progress throughout the treatment episode according to ASAM PPC-2R, assessing the need for continued services or discharge/transfer.
- Ensuring the substance abuse counseling portion of the client's treatment plan is regularly reviewed and revised to address emerging issues.
- Liaising with referral sources and providing case consultation and coordination to support clients' overall care.
- Participating as a valuable member of a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive and holistic care for assigned clients.
- Accurately documenting all counseling and education services, assessments, referrals, and follow-ups in the client's clinical record, adhering to appropriate protocols and regulations.
- Acting as the first point of contact for clients, counselors, and office staff when the Clinical Director is unavailable.
- Demonstrating in-depth knowledge of substance use disorders, co-occurring disorders, and associated co-morbidities.
- Familiarity with the 12-Step Recovery program and its implementation.
- Complying with all applicable Federal, State, and Regional regulations, including Accreditation standards governing treatment of Substance Use Disorders, confidentiality, patient rights, ethics, and anti-discrimination practices.
**Requirements:**
Education/Experience Qualifications:
- Master's Level education in a relevant field
Licenses and Certifications:
- Licensed or Registered Intern with the state of New Jersey, LAC, LPC, LSW, LCSW.
- LCADC/ Masters level ADC Intern
