Harmony Senior Services is hiring for a traveling RN Clinical Specialist to support clinical operations across our portfolio of senior living communities.

Qualified candidates must reside in, and/or hold a RN license in one or more of the following states: VA, WV, NC. This is a regional support role requiring extensive travel to support various locations. Assignments may vary.

The Clinical Specialist is responsible for the comprehensive oversight of clinical services provided by HSS communities. The position includes planning, organizing, leading and directing clinical services to ensure delivery of quality, compassionate and cost-effective resident care.

The Clinical Specialist will develop and maintain a care delivery model designed to meet the clinical needs of residents and implement standards and policies which ensure safe and efficient practices. The Clinical Specialist will also collaborate with Human Resources on the recruitment and selection of qualified employment candidates, and will be vigilant regarding AL/MC regulatory compliance requirements in order to sustain positive outcomes with regulatory agencies.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Collaborate with senior HSS management and external regulatory and accrediting entities to ensure all mandated services and standards are met and exceeded
  • Develop and implement policies that guide and support the provision of services; ensure that policies and procedures are compatible with the function and goals of HSS and meet the external regulatory and statutory requirements.
  • Effectively assists in providing leadership, support, and direction to Health Care Coordinator’s and their clinical teams in the field
  • Assists with budget preparation and allocation of funds based upon reviews of nursing department estimates/recommendations and have familiarity with operating procedures and cost/revenue projections. Reviews all nursing department requests for capital expenses and makes recommendations to the Chief Operating Officer.
  • Regularly visits the communities to identify opportunities for change and development.
  • Provides continuous supervision/ training of professional staff followed by review of procedures to ensure quality of care is being provided to all patients/ families serviced by HSS and determine retention/ compliance of professional staff.
  • Collaborates with QA Director to ensure effective management and follow-through of QA process for clinical services in the field
  • Oversees supervision of clinical staff compliance with infection control, personal protection equipment, and blood borne pathogens, and hazardous material handling.
  • Ensures HIPAA compliance with resident and employee information.
  • Assist senior management with all aspects of development/acquisitions as it pertains to clinical services in new markets
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Current RN license in good standing with the Board of Nursing.
  • Exceptional ability to manage people, multi-task, delegate, and motivate a team
  • Broad and extensive experience in clinical nursing administration; minimum 5 years’ experience.
  • Must have comprehensive knowledge of nursing principles and practices, and have the ability to apply those principles as part of the senior management team
  • Experience with current and emerging delivery systems with capability of implementing changes as needed.
  • Must be able to travel to HSS communities frequently, including overnight travel
  • Travel requirement: 75% - 90%
  • Must be CPR certified
  • Must be able to lift, carry, and push up to 25lbs
