What are the responsibilities and job description for the Application Architect position at HarmonyTech?
HarmonyTech is seeking a Journeyman Application Architect to serve our client in Washington, D.C. Application Architects are responsible for the solution architecture for the application platform; designs integration of the application platform with other cloud platforms (E.g., AWS, Document Management) and OCC's on-prem systems. Provides processes and guidance on best practices for application business process design, configuration, testing, and integration.
The Journeyman Application Architect possesses and applies expertise on multiple complex work assignments. Assignments may be broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks. Operates with appreciable latitude in developing methodology and presenting solutions to problems. Contributes to deliverables and performance metrics where applicable.
The position is in Washington, DC, requires Public Trust Clearance, and U.S. citizenship.
Responsibilities
- Strong understanding of technical expertise, combined with excellent planning, coordination, and communication skills, and the ability to work on teams.
- Enforces defined architecture requirements and performance standards to meet or exceed management and customer specifications.
- Prepares reports on analyses, findings, and project progress, and presents results to senior leadership.
- Provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced architects and may have supervisory responsibilities.
- Serves as a technical team or task leader.
- Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology.
- Participates in special projects as required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 6 or more years of experience as a senior developer in large I.T. projects
- Prior project architect and/or team lead experience
- Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree
