Harness IP is seeking an experienced Intellectual Property Legal Assistant to support a busy and varied IP law practice in our Troy, MI office. This role will be involved with supporting patents, trademarks, and IP litigation.
Responsibilities
At least 7 years of direct experience in a law firm setting
Expert knowledge in supporting patent preparation and prosecution processes by preparing forms, assembling documents, e-filing with the USPTO
Maintain and manage a daily docket for one or more attorneys
Assemble and organize documents and tasks related to patent, trademark, and IP litigation work
Process monthly billing and invoicing
Skills
Expert attention to detail with excellent follow-up/follow-through skills
Strong systems acumen with an eye to maximizing the use of software programs to ensure accuracy and efficiency of work processes
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
Professional demeanor
Excellent communication skills
Ability and desire to function in a team-based environment
