Schedule Information: 9:00 am-2:00 pm Monday - Friday (Flexible)
Hours per Week: Up to 29
Benefits: Prorated Sick & Vacation; Holiday Pay; and 2 Harper Tuition Waivers per semester
Work Conditions: Work is primarily indoor and sedentary in nature.
Duties of Position: Provides general reception/clerical support for the Job Placement Resource Center and Apprenticeship Office. Assist students by explaining services, verifying eligibility, scheduling appointments, and assisting in the computer lab.
Provides reception for the Job Placement Resource Center and backup for the Apprenticeship Office. Greets visitors, answers telephone and emails, takes and distributes messages and provides information as appropriate.
Schedules appointments and helps maintain SARS system.
Reviews and approves new employer registration and job postings in online job management system. Troubleshoots job management access issues for employers and job seekers. Orients students to the job management system and assists student with registration and navigation.
Coordinates on-campus employer recruiting which includes vetting, scheduling and following up throughout the Fall and Spring semester.
Maintains office calendar and JPRC staff schedules
Sorts and distributes incoming mail.
Makes daily appointment reminder calls/texts to students.
Supports, directs and supplies information to employers, and students for Job Placement Resource Center events
Assists with social media, projects and mailings.
Assists with reports and other materials as needed.
Performs related duties as assigned.
Educational Requirements: High school graduate or equivalent with minimum typing of 50 wpm.
Experience Requirements: Two years general office experience. Proficiency with Microsoft Word and the internet is required
