Harper’s Station at Yorktown is a state-of-the-art, senior living community coming soon to the Yorktown, Virginia area. Our community will offer spacious, well-appointed Independent Living, Assisted Living and Memory Care apartments, residential cottage homes and a wide variety of amenities and services designed for the finest senior living experiences for those wanting an independent living lifestyle.
We are seeking an exceptional candidate for the position of Director of Activities. The incumbent will plan, organize, develop, and direct the overall operations of activities in accordance to our established policies and procedures. Will create and adhere to a monthly activities calendar, coordinate special events and assist in resident council meetings. Additionally, the Director of Activities will perform various other resident-focused tasks to ensure that on-going programs of activities are designed to meet our residents interests and backgrounds. The ideal candidate should have the ability to engage and motivate residents resulting in maximum program participation.

Requirements
Education/Experience:
- High School diploma/GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must have compassion for and desire to work with the elderly.
- Must have attention to detail, be flexible/adaptable, have safety awareness, and be a team player.
- Must successfully pass a Level 2 background screening.
