Payroll Specialist
Provides support for Payroll Manager by performing complex clerical duties including, but not limited to, data entry, benefit accruals, work processing, generating reports, filing, and copying. Is primarily responsible for the correct calculation of payroll for all hourly Team Members within legal parameters. Responsible for communicating with individuals at all levels of the organization and should demonstrate a high level of interpersonal skills in order to handle sensitive and confidential situations. Ensures compliance with all department and company policies, procedures, internal controls and government regulations Performs other duties as assigned.
Duties:
Assists with Payroll functions and performs necessary Payroll functions when administrator is absent.
Audits and manually corrects time records of hours worked for all hourly Team Members.
Collects tip information and assures calculation.
Performs duties of Payroll Administrator in their absence.
Ensures timely payment of employees and taxes.
Performs complex and special project clerical functions
Assists with and may perform complex special projects.
Creates and maintains integrity of department records.
Performs consistently in a work environment requiring high volume demands and flexibility.
Physical/Mental Requirements:
Ability to maneuver throughout the property, stoop, bend, reach, and sit for long periods of time.
Ability to hear, speak and see.
Ability to lift 20 pounds without assistance.
Attends periodic meetings and training sessions
Assists with special projects and functions
Assist with journal entries
Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 2 years related work experience
Previous payroll processing experience needed
ADP experience preferred.
Finance background preferred
Ability to understand and maintain confidentiality of records, department and company
Excellent communication and business grammar skills
Must be flexible and willing to adjust to changing demands of work day effectively
Excellent computer skills including knowledge of MS Word, and Excel.
Demonstrated ability to function as positive member of Finance and company team
Minimum of 18 years of age
No felony convictions
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
Schedule:
8 hour shift
Monday to Friday
