Job Title: Sales Rep, Convenience Stores
This is a commission plus bonus paid position that reports to a designated Team Leader. This sales territory is in Louisburg/Henderson, NC and surrounding areas.
The Sales Rep for convenience stores is responsible for visiting pre-assigned retail outlets weekly to build and maintain customer relationships, create and sell pre-sale orders, merchandise product and promotional material, and grow sales and market share. The job duties will include but not be limited to the following:
- Run a weekly sales call route to assigned accounts in a timely and efficient manner.
- Meet or exceed volume goals that are assigned.
- Protect and grow Harris Beverage’s position and space in the market place.
- Ensure outstanding results in maintaining quality products in the market. This includes making sure that product is properly rotated, merchandised and sold in the trade.
- Provide signage or point of sale (POS) as required by specific customers and ensure that it is placed in the appropriate locations within the customer’s retail outlet.
- Must be capable to perform beverage resets and use internal sales software systems.
- Ensure that all execution goals are achieved as designated by their team leader, sales manager or sales execution coordinator.
- Follow Anheuser-Busch process and procedures that ensures compliance of both Harris Beverages and AB (AOE, ABU Training, Sales Rep certifications, etc.).
- Maintain a safe work zone and follow all safety policies to ensure that fellow employees and consumers are free from harmful practices and maintain a safe work environment.
- Closely follow state and federal guidelines in relationship to how we conduct our business with OSHA, ABC, and other regulatory agencies.
- Attend required meetings and training as scheduled by senior management.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with key decision makers in chain and independent C-store accounts, and our internal team.
- Must be dependable, have a positive attitude and ability to work independently with little supervision – self-motivated.
- Strong selling, organizational & planning skills.
- Excellent oral, analytical, written, and presentation communication skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and I-pad Tablets.
- Beverage industry and product knowledge preferred.
- A desire to constantly improve knowledge and understanding of all major brands, and imported, domestic and craft beers.
- Must be able to lift boxes 40 lbs.
- Must successfully pass both a physical and a criminal background check.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
- Two years previous sales experience in related field (C-Store, distribution, hospitality, supplier or beverage industry) is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of the local beverage market preferred but not required.
- Exhibit a track record of exceeding sales goals and producing quality results while managing tight deadlines.
