Summary
The purpose of this basic level position is to perform administrative support duties in varied functional and/or project team situations according to the supervisor's general instructions, priorities, duties, policies, and department procedures. This is accomplished by utilizing basic clerical skills learned previously and applying them with increasing independence. This position requires the ability to assist others in applying knowledge and understanding in solving functional problems within assigned work area. This position understands the department priorities related to the work being performed and the basic knowledge of other departments guidelines related to functional area. Performs work under moderate supervision.
Job Responsibilities

General Responsibilities (Broad responsibilities that are consistent across jo9b families)
- Research and analyze property information by collecting and verifying Harris County Appraisal District records.
- Perform data entry using departmental software.
- Perform mailroom duties including picking-up, stamping, sorting, logging, prepping, scanning large varieties of correspondence and obtaining valid mailing addresses to process returned mail.
- Assist supervisors and property owners with creating new accounts and questions pertaining to various accounts.
- Create spreadsheets, delete, modify and add accounts.
- Research, index, key and provide quality control using departmental software.
- Perform purchasing and fixed assets functions.
- Maintain customer and vendor information.
- Handles timekeeping, if applicable.
- Key sales information into CAMA system.
- Correcting information on accounts as needed.
- Set up new subdivisions.
- Research sales for information that refers to mobile home accounts.
- Research and add permits to the CAMA system.
- Research returned mail and correct address as needed.
- Key closing statements into CAMA system
- Complete and submit IT Request Form for new hires and others changing responsibilities.
- Complete and submit security request forms for weekend building access as necessary.
- Perform notary duties, if applicable.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

2 years of related work experience
