Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for data entry, record keeping and data maintenance related to the issuance of permits.
- Accepts permit applications and reviews the submittal to determine if all required supporting documents are included.
- Processes permits for approved fire code projects.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- A high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent from an accredited educational institution.
- A minimum two (2) years clerical/office work experience.
- Experience/background in building design, construction, real property, or related field and knowledge of regulatory agencies and their impact on Architecture/Engineering Planning.
- Military Service
- Must possess excellent customer service and strong oral and written communication and organizational skills.
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office programs.
- The ability to learn department supported application programs shortly after hire.

- Monday – Friday | 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
- Subject to Early Mornings, Evenings, Weekends & Holidays as Needed
- Commensurate With Experience
- Based on 26 Pay Periods
Location:
- 10555 Northwest Freeway, Suite 120, Houston, TX
- This position requires bending, stooping and lifting up to 25 lbs., frequent walking, standing, sitting, reaching, and ascending/descending stairs
Employment may be contingent on passing a drug screen and meeting other standards.
