What are the responsibilities and job description for the Engagement & Stewardship Coordinator position at Harrisburg University?
The Engagement and Stewardship Coordinator is highly productive, creative, and integral to the Advancement Team. This individual will partner with alumni and development staff to cultivate and steward new and existing relationships with donors through organized and structured programming. The Engagement and Stewardship Coordinator provides coordination and execution to support fundraising and stewardship efforts. This work focuses on gift entry and recognition, stewardship events and correspondences, and research and prospect management. This position requires attention to detail and a significant level of confidentiality.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES (Duties may vary, and other duties may be assigned.)
- Coordinate all functions related to stewardship activities that include gift acknowledgment, donor recognition, fund and impact reporting, and donor engagement communications.
- Proactively executes recurring stewardship activities that include but are not limited to post-event thank you letters, donor birthday cards, holiday cards, stewardship phone calls, and pledge reminders.
- Maintain accurate donor information through ongoing data entry and managing periodic data hygiene projects to ensure accuracy in our CRM (CIVI).
- Coordinate prospect research for development staff and prepare donor briefs.
- Schedule and manage donor and prospect visits and coordinate meeting materials (presentations, proposals).
- Collaborate with internal and external partners; assist with organizing a portfolio of major and bespoke Advancement events while ensuring that all aspects are well-planned, well-executed, and at or above the industry standards.

- A strong work ethic, strong research skills & attention to detail, flexibility, initiative, creative problem-solving abilities, a high level of energy, and the ability to work independently
- PA DL required. Minimal travel occasionally
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and manage complex projects from planning through implementation
- Ability to establish and monitor processes for editing, reviewing, and finalizing projects
- Proficiency using MS Office suite and Adobe Creative suite

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3 years of professional work experience in fundraising, alumni relations, public relations, student activities, program administration, administrative coordination, or a related field
- Experience with CRMs, Event Management are preferred.
