Quality Control Inspector 3

This position is responsible for managing Food Safety Data collection and interpretation. This includes monitoring data, trends and advising and assisting in resolving non-conforming issues. This position works closely with the Internal Auditing Team. Data reporting and trending are performed on predetermined schedules. Deviation alerts are to be submitted to Food Safety Team Leadership for resolution.

Maintain schedules of Internal Auditing Team activities and ensure adherence and timeliness of completion of action items and documentation of activity.
Facilitate Internal Auditing Team for HD operated Facilities
Collect samples, conduct evaluations, record data and communicate information effectively
Evaluate shipping and storage damage as required, control movement of material through placement of "Holds"
Maintain documentation of processes/procedures in QC software
Analyze environmental monitoring programs and trend data
Analyze customer complaint data and evaluate trend.
Analyze inspection reports and trend data
Evaluate trending and provide actionable reports to management
Communicate trends to Management to initiate documented investigation and actively partake in the investigation
Assist in training Harry and David personnel in use of QC compliance software.

Maintain and actively support safety programs by immediately addressing safety issues
Ensure compliance with all department procedures and standard.

High School education or equivalent required.

12 months quality control experience in a food/warehousing environment preferred

Intermediate Office Software skills required (Word, PowerPoint, Access)

Warehousing Management (SAP/Oracle) and other software experience (ETQ/Genesis/PLM) preferred

Must have Valid Driver's License and a good driving record
Demonstrated comprehension skills are required in order to understand general label requirements, lot code formats, procedures, diagrams, flow charts and written specifications.
