Harry’s is operating as a hybrid-first environment - for us, that means that we ask folks to come into our beautiful, 88,000 square foot SoHo office a minimum of 2 days per week, with flexibility to choose exactly which days work best for you.  What will you get out of that?  Bagels on Tuesdays, lunch on Wednesdays and Thursdays, and fully stocked kitchens with snacks, coffee, and drinks everyday.  Can’t forget the free products and the opportunity to have some meetings without Zoom (remember what 2019 was like?)

About the Team

Harry’s is seeking a strategic Creative Copywriter and strong collaborator to work on all brand marketing. Our mission is to build personalized experiences that make our customers’ lives easier. We are a team that partners cross-functionally to deliver engaging customer experiences and are always looking to improve and grow. 

About the Role

The Creative Copywriter’s job is to create compelling copy, from taglines and headlines to product descriptions and social captions. They’ll partner with our designers to support the broader marketing team in all day-to-day copy requests. 

The Creative Copywriter will develop copy that communicates Harry’s key value propositions and drives effective business results as measured by the brand marketing teams. They enjoy managing the quality of all copy deliverables to ensure they meet Harry’s high creative standards, and have an ability to give and take creative feedback and constructive criticism. They are naturally curious and passionate about the brand and storytelling journey and have a desire to work within a cross-functional team to deliver an amazing product.

What you will accomplish:

  • Email Marketing: Develop creative storytelling and witty copy in partnership with the art director and email marketing team. This content includes: transactional emails, win-back and seasonal campaigns, as well as product promotional copy.
  • Product Descriptions Pages (PDPs): Create product titles and descriptions within brand voice and product category guidelines for Harrys.com and our retail partners’ e-commerce sites. 
  • In-Store Marketing (ISM): Lead writer for ISM copy development process, includes: concepting and creating content that ties directly to digital and print advertisements, so that customers who visit our retail partners have a seamless and consistent brand experience.
  • Packaging and Collateral: Concept and craft storytelling for limited edition offerings (LTO) and seasonal product sets. Collaborate with designers, brand managers, and the legal team to develop product packaging and print collateral for channels, including retail and DTC.

This should describe you:

  • 3- 5 years experience writing copy with a background in e-commerce or brand marketing 
  • Impeccable and multifaceted copywriting, copy editing and proofreading skills
  • A strategic approach to the creative process with an understanding of advertising
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, internal workflow, deadlines and stakeholder expectations
  • Strong project management skills and experience working cross functionally with creative and marketing teams a plus
  • Empathy for the customer and their interaction with the brand 
  • Organized, dependable and self-motivated with the ability to excel in a hands-on, fast-paced environment
  • You are a learner, who is always seeking to improve yourself and the world around you
  • You thrive on direct, honest, and supportive communication
  • Sense of humor—we take our work seriously and not ourselves
