What are the responsibilities and job description for the Materials Analyst position at Harsco Rail?

This position will coordinate and control the execution of material requirements for the manufacturing environment. Must be a team player and interact well with a diverse workforce.
Will issue required material for manufacturing orders in accordance with planned material usage
Will facilitate efficient processing of orders to assure minimum resources and inventory investment.
Will work with other functional areas to monitor and resolve production order material issues.
Expected to identify, communicate, and address issues regarding material issuing.
Will utilize ERP system to effectively manage production orders
Responsible for ensuring system transactions for issuing material and completing orders are completed accurately and in a timely manner
Basic Qualifications
2 year AA Degree in Supply Chain/ related field or 3 yrs of job related experience and required job related Certifications, or a High School graduate with 5 yrs job related Experience with job
Preferred Qualifications
3 years plus years of experience in Manufacturing Planning, Material Control, and/or Production Control in a MRP environment.
ERP experience, BAAN/Infor a plus
Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM), or related certification(s)
Technical Skills
Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes
Microsoft or related experience, Strong knowledge of Excel
