Physician Assistant Role Scope

We have a growth opportunity for a Surgical Physician Assistant (PA) who will enjoy:

• Unique, 1:1 training with a Neurosurgeon who is an excellent teacher and enjoys mentoring his staff!
• Growth and development; new Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) program going live in the Spring
• OR Time - 1st Assist, alternating with one other Surgical Physician Assistant
• Advanced minimally invasive surgeries
• Established practice and staff who take time with their patients

Shift

• Full Time (either 5-8 hour or 4-10-hour shifts)
• Hours may vary dependent upon case load
• Open to 4-day work week (4x10)

Qualifications

Advanced Practitioner Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant Master's program required
• Licensed, or eligible to be licensed, as a Physician Assistant in the state of Connecticut
• Certification or eligible to be certified as a Physician Assistant
• Preferred >1 year experience as a Surgical Physician Assistant in a Neurosurgery or an Orthopedic setting; 1st Assist in OR preferred
