What are the responsibilities and job description for the Data Governance Product Specialist position at Hartford Steam Boiler?
Work closely with HSB's internal and external clients to understand and communicate business requirements in order to integrate client data into HSB systems. Understand the data and business requirements for each of HSB’s products, processes, and systems and communicate those needs to internal and external client's business and IT staff. Participate in testing client data files. Works with the HSB dev team to ensure smooth transition of data, from first test file through full implementation. Coordinates test results back to the client company.

- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or IT and/or equivalent work experience
- 5 years experience in data intake and working knowledge of P&C insurance company and agency operations, business processing systems, workflow documentation, and reporting
- IT Background or System Configuration experience preferred
- Process improvement experience
- Insurance business acumen
- Underwriting knowledge
- Insurance based systems knowledge
- Proficient in SQL and Microsoft Excel
- Understanding of internal HSB databases and data structures
- Expert verbal and written communication skills
- Solid organization and time management skills
- Team player, Interpersonal & problem-solving skills
- Adaptable to change
