What are the responsibilities and job description for the Premium Audit Manager position at Hartford Steam Boiler?
Oversee and execute the premium audit practice at HSB. Lead audits of a client company or MGA and report results to Senior Management. Conduct risk analysis, control identification, and audit program development. Own project management responsibility for all phases of assigned audits, including planning and reporting. Demonstrates and apply a thorough understanding of project management skills ensuring audits meet department requirements. Will identify and report on risks found through the audit process as well as design and execute testing procedures. In coordination with management, sets overall engagement milestones (planning, fieldwork & reporting) for assigned engagement.
Profile:Education & Experience:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience is required
Master’s degree is preferred
7 years of experience in conducting internal or external audits
Insurance industry experience is a plus
Supervisory experience
CPA
Knowledge & Skills:Advanced knowledge of audit practices and financial and operational processes.
Creating high quality deliverables using appropriate business / technical language.
Demonstrates a highly skilled ability to evaluate internal controls, effectively lead / develop an audit team of peers, analyze and solve complex problems, conduct research, and express ideas clearly, concisely and persuasively both verbally and in writing
Demonstrates a strong understanding of business ethics.
Demonstrates the ability to multi-task, by in-charging and/or performing testing on more than one audit concurrently.
