Week 1 : Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday
Week 2 : Sunday, Wednesday and Thursday
12 hour Continental Shift, 8 : 00 8 : 00
DUTIES :
- Review run sheet in MIS to determine Docket Number and job specifications such as ink color, carton label, inlid print, quantity and running order that is required for the product.
- Set up and adjust the Labeler Printer and related equipment such as filling ink reservoirs, adjusting plates, print and label quality.
- Troubleshoot printers and / or labelers and related equipment and make minor adjustments.
- Communicate effectively and support other Printer or Labeler Operators on their machine.
- Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions making necessary adjustments.
- Observe equipment, indicators, monitors and other instruments to detect malfunctions and ensure equipment is operating according to specifications.
- Monitor printing and labelling machines during print / label runs and make adjustments as required for jammed materials or defective products.
Clear blockages as required.
- Clean and lubricate the Printer or Labeler and perform other routine machine maintenance.
- Responsible for setting up Print and Label jobs, checking First Offs to Dockets and informing the Shift Supervisor of any Quality issues in their Product or the wrapping of their product.
- Monitor and check production to assess conformance to quality specifications using visual verification.
- Complete and maintain production reports and records as required.
- Communicate with and assist other operators and workers to make adjustments, start-up or shutdown machines as required.
- Clean work areas and equipment, removing scrap, dust, glue and other by-products from machinery and surrounding areas.
- Perform all work with adherence to safety and housekeeping procedures.
- Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices and Procedures
- Assist in training new workers.
- Participate in training programs to keep skills current.
