Hartmann Studios is a full service employee-owned event strategy, design and production company with offices located in the San Francisco Bay Area, Atlanta and West Des Moines. We are looking for a Producer to join our Event Production team to join us in producing exciting and unique events for our clients. The successful candidate will be hired to work out of our Richmond, California office or our Atlanta, Georgia office with some travel required.

We are looking for talented team members to join Hartmann Studios in Full time, Part time & Contract roles.

Position Summary

The Event Producer is responsible for developing events from start to finish. This includes creating concepts and ideas for the event, overseeing operations, directing staff, managing budgets and coordinating technical and production aspects, all in a consistent fashion that aligns with the high standards of Hartmann Studios. The Event Producer maintains relationships with clients, internal teams, external and future partners, vendors, building/event personnel, etc.

The Event Producer has strong relationship skills with a service mentality and the ability to provide multiple options for solutions. The Event Producer has a strong background in event production, a base knowledge in event design and layout, staging, lighting, sound, scenic elements, guest flow and timing, and overall event development skills.

Responsibilities


  • Operational responsibilities within their scope of the program (co-ownership or collaboration depending on scale of program).
  • Client point of contact behind Account Lead and Executive Producer.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Producer or Account Lead on production schedule, budget, file and folder organization, managing vendor relationships, timeliness of deliverables, and successful execution of the show.
  • Partner with operational personnel, including other Event Producers (if assigned), Technical Directors, discipline specialists (i.e., registration, housing, food & beverage leads), 3rd party vendors and independent contractors. Assist Executive Producer to scope necessary project personnel, as needed.
  • Partner with Executive Producer to ensure creative visions are cost-effective and operationally sound solutions.
  • Able to join and contribute to conversations regarding challenges in any area of the show and lead the teams to success. Areas include (but not limited to) security, line management, logistics, registration, housing, food & beverage, trade show production, custom fabrication, trade labor, event infrastructure, venue contracts, shipping & receiving, installation and dismantle, engineering approvals, fire marshal approvals, permitting needs, etc.
  • Assists with a timely, on-budget and safe delivery of a successful production.

Ideal Experience and Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration or Liberal Arts.
  • 5 years of event production experience, demonstrating effective leadership skills.
  • Ability to deliver highly creative concepts and innovations while also demonstrating planning that is extremely organized and actionable.
  • Ability to successfully manage simultaneous platforms at once; prioritize functions, assess strengths of staff and assign tasks accordingly, delegate responsibilities, manage expectations of external customers.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with strong professional judgment, flexibility, resourcefulness and the ability to respond to issues or conflicts with compassion and clarity.
  • Strong organizational skills with an emphasis on accuracy and process improvement .
  • Ability to build strong relationships with venues or online partners and customers.
  • Experience supporting strategic planning and implementation.
  • Ability to work the time necessary to complete projects and/or meet deadlines.
  • Solid business acumen with a positive, professional attitude.
  • Ability to travel 20-35% of the year if needed, pending size and scope of programs & role on each project.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
  • Ability to maintain both client and Hartmann Studios confidentiality.
