Accounts Payable Specialist

Hartung Glass is looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specilaist. We’re a proven leader in our industry! We’re the largest privately owned organization in our industry! We’re a stable, growing company and will soon celebrate 100 years of operations! 

$26-$32 an Hour

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Receive, review, and process vendor invoices for accuracy and completeness.

· Match invoices with purchase orders and delivery receipts to ensure proper authorization.

· Prepare and process weekly or monthly payment runs, including check and ACH batches.

· Process payments through corporate credit card program to maximize potential rebates.

· Ensure adherence to payment terms and take advantage of early payment discounts.

· Maintain positive relationships with vendors and respond to inquiries regarding payment status.

· Resolve discrepancies and issues with invoices, purchase orders, and deliveries.

· Process employee online expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies.

· Maintain accurate and organized accounts payable records.

· File and archive invoices, receipts, and other financial documents.

· Assist in month-end closing activities, including reconciling accounts payable ledgers.

· Accurate processing of annual 1099’s.

· Provide necessary reports and documentation to support financial reporting.

· Ensure compliance with company W9 policies and procedures.

· Independently coordinate and communicate with Purchasing, Accounting, and Sr. Management.

· Provides other managers and departments with information required by them to carry out their assigned responsibilities.

· Maintain and improve controls which verify the integrity of payment processes and data.

· Stay informed about changes in best practices related to accounts payable.

· Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Preferred Experience

·  2 years of Accounts Payable experience in medium to large company

 Associate degree in Accounting or equivalent combination of experience and education

· Experience with accounting processes for multiple locations· Experience with Sage or other comparable ERP system

· Proficient with Microsoft Outlook and Excel.

· Strong written and oral communication skills

· Ability to prioritize tasks and complete in a timely manner

· Basic accounting knowledge
