Basic Qualifications
College background or equivalent work experience, preferably in a related discipline. One year of related work experience required. Relevant coursework may count toward some, though not all, work experience.
Additional Information
This is a one-year term position from the date of hire, with the possibility of extension, contingent upon work performance and continued funding to support the position.
This is an in-person position based on our campus in Boston.

Position Description
Position open for a Research Assistant at Harvard Medical School to join an exciting research lab investigating the cellular pathways targeted by proteins encoded by HPV. The Research Assistant will belong to a team identifying potential molecules for the development of antiviral therapeutics for HPV- associated cancers. The assistant will have an important part in managing the lab's general operations and will work closely with the laboratory manager and several senior researchers in the laboratory. The assistant's duties will include mammalian cell tissue culture, cutting-edge molecular biology techniques, plasmid preparation, and participation in ongoing high throughput screening operations. The assistant will be expected to maintain an accurate and up-to-date laboratory notebook detailing experiments and results.
