Position: Accountant

Location: Nashville, TN 37203 (Hybrid)

Duration: 12 months contract, likely to extend

Pay Range: $36-40/hour on W2

Position’s Contributions to Work Group:

• Review accounting records, financial statements or other financial reports created by staff to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
• Create recordkeeping and accounting systems.
• Prepare forms and manuals for accounting and bookkeeping personnel and direct their work activities.
• Survey operations to ascertain accounting needs and to recommend and/or develop solutions to business and financial problems.
• Review and analyze data to detect deficient controls, duplicated effort, extravagance, fraud, or non-compliance with laws, regulations, and management policies.
• Members of the Client Financial Oracle EBS Finance Support team are responsible for troubleshooting and resolving system issues and solutioning and testing of newly requested functionality.
• This position will work closely with other teams (IS, Technical, Business, and Reporting) to bring resolutions to issues in a timely manner.

Typical Day:

• Review and analyze data to detect deficient controls, duplicated effort, extravagance, fraud, or non-compliance with laws, regulations, and management policies.
• Accounting systems (Planning Analytics and Controller) knowledge required.

• Daily interaction with the team.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related financial discipline required. An advanced degree in a financial discipline is preferred.
• 8-10 years financial and/or accounting experience required.

Technical Skills:

• Accounting systems (Planning Analytics and Controller) knowledge required.
• Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and any other related accounting software.
• Knowledge of Oracle R12 and Oracle EBS applications
• Knowledge of Lease Accounting
• Advanced Excel Skills preferred.

Soft Skills:

• Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and critical thinking.
• Demonstrated ability to handle account analysis and effectively communicate the results to manager and staff.
• Advanced knowledge and ability to reconcile accounts and resolve any resulting issues.
• Thorough knowledge of U. S GAAP and the proven ability to apply Lease Accounting to solve issues.
• Demonstrated ability to work on multiple issues simultaneously.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $36.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
