Job Posting for Transportation/Bus Maintenance Coordinator at Harvey Public Schools
Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented individual to oversee transportation and bus maintenance operations. Responsibilities include coordinating bus schedules, managing maintenance schedules, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. This position requires strong organizational skills and knowledge of vehicle maintenance. The individual will be expected to drive a bus route and develop and comply with all district maintenance schedules for the district bus fleet.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate bus routes and schedules for efficient transportation services.
Drive a single bus route for the Harvey Public School District
Schedule and oversee maintenance and repairs for the school bus fleet.
Maintenance Schedules will be developed in collaboration with district stakeholders
Order and ensure fuel and equipment for transportation are in working order.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintenance standards.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inspections.
Communicate with drivers, mechanics, and school administrators regarding transportation needs.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must have or be willing to shortly start training to get a CDL (commercial driver's license)
Previous experience in transportation or vehicle maintenance is preferred.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures and safety regulations.
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $49,982.97 per year
