Mechanical Engineering Technician

Our client, Hydra-Tech Pumps, based in Nesquehoning, PA is ready to hire a Full Time Mechanical Engineering Technician to join their team! In this position you will focus on serving internal and external stakeholders and help in the growth by supporting the production, internal controls, sales and overall business function. You will participate in systems improvements for manufacturing processes and assist in the development of standard operating procedures for all aspects of the company. In this position you will also assist internal and external customers before during and after the sale by providing engineering and technical assistance.

What You Will Do:

• Interact with customers to ensure our product offerings are consistent with their requirements:
• Be consistently courteous and pleasant with clients
• Develop an understanding of product offerings and variations of the same to best present options to the customer
• Interface with senior engineering personnel to select componentry and designs to meet client needs
• Specify, for vendors and suppliers, the sub-components needed to turn the design in to a customer product
• Develop a give and take relationship with supplier’s technical personnel to stay abreast of alternate technologies which may improve our customer offerings
• Follow up with internal persons and customers to ensure needs are met
• Develop and maintain an organized workspace:
• Set up personal office area to create an efficient flow of work product
• Use HTP systems to file electronic documents in the appropriate places
• Maintain document control for technical drawings, test reports and customer relevant materials
• Interact Positively with Team members by:

• Understanding the goal of stakeholder satisfaction is paramount
• Offering to make others work more effectively through lending help when possible and required
• Assist in the evaluation and implementation of plant improvements

• Spending significant time in the production area to understand what we do, how we do it and make improvement suggestions
• Review internal knowledge databases for product understanding
• Attending trainings, trade shows and seminars
